Telangana Allocates Emergency Funds for Rain-Hit Districts
Responding to the escalating flood-like situation caused by incessant heavy rains, the Telangana government has swiftly released ₹1 crore to each district for immediate relief operations. Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, during a video conference with District Collectors, directed officials to remain vigilant and prioritize measures to prevent loss of life and property. The allocation aims to support districts in managing the severe impact of the low-pressure system, which has led to overflowing rivulets and inundation of low-lying areas across the state. [5, 13]
