A pioneering decade-long initiative by Social Action for Rural Advancement (SARA), in collaboration with Anandana, The Coca-Cola India Foundation, has dramatically improved water access for over 18,000 residents across six villages in Rajasthan’s parched Thar Desert. By reviving traditional water harvesting structures and constructing check dams, the project has not only alleviated chronic water scarcity but also catalyzed self-reliance and rural prosperity, offering a lifeline to communities where water was once a constant struggle.
