Under-Construction Bridge Collapses in Kozhikode, Safety Review Ordered

A portion of the under-construction Thorayikadavu bridge in Kozhikode has collapsed, resulting in injuries and triggering immediate alarm over infrastructure safety. In response, the Kerala government has moved swiftly to form an expert committee, comprising IIT and NIT specialists, tasked with reviewing and updating the existing Public Works Department manual and enhancing safety systems across all bridge construction sites in the state.
